Please could we remind you that we can no longer authorise any holidays taken during school time.

We are always striving to ensure that children in our care make the best progress possible.

This can only take place if the child regularly attends school to avoid falling behind.

All family holidays should be arranged to take place during school holiday time, please follow link below for school term dates. Any holidays that are taken during school term time will be recorded as an unauthorised absence unless they have exceptional circumstances and leave has been granted by the Headteacher before the holiday is taken.

Unauthorised holidays  may incur a penalty fine. This is a fine of £60 if paid within 21 days of receipt, rising to £120 if the notice is paid after 21 days but within 28 days. The notice is per child, per parent, per holiday. For a family of 2 children with 2 parents the fine could be as much as £240, doubling to £480 after 21 days.

If the penalty is not paid in full by the end of the 28 day period the Local Authority can prosecute for the offence to which the notice applies.

We would ask that any parents who are considering taking their child out of school during term time to complete a request for leave of absence form (see link below or available from school office) at least 4 weeks prior to the requested holiday dates.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support in this matter.
