A collaboration of schools working in partnership with employers, universities and colleges to improve education and life chances for all children and young people. Our vision is to provide excellent schools through the power of connectivity between phases, education partnerships and industry, thereby enabling children and young people to realise their aspirations and reach their full potential.
With over 300 nominations for the NTLT Star Awards this year, reaching the finalist stage is certainly up there with being nominated for a BAFTA or an Oscar and we couldn’t be prouder of the young people who are representing their schools and community in the 12 awards this year.
The Star Awards is North Tyneside Learning Trust’s annual celebration of the outstanding non-academic achievements of the children and young people from around the Trust and this year it is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The first Star Awards ceremony was held back in 2014 at the Village Hotel and since then we have recognised the phenomenal achievement of 368 finalist and this year, we will be adding another 48 names to the NTLT Star Awards Hall of Fame.
Selecting the finalists is the unenviable job of a panel of experts from within the Trust and our main sponsor Vision for Education. The toughest job of all however, selecting the winner in each award category, is handed over to our award sponsors who take the job very seriously:
“Well this is some task… Alasdair and I have had a long discussion about this and every one of them are amazing and all deserving of recognition!”
Martin Westgate, Director, Robertson CE Limited (award sponsor)
Special letters have now been sent out to all schools with a finalist notifying them of this outstanding achievement and inviting them to the glittering award ceremony at St James Park on 13th July 2023 and we can’t wait to meet them along with their families, friends and teachers.
