A very warm welcome to the Friends of Hazlewood PTFA page!
Who are we?
Friends of Hazlewood PTFA is run completely by volunteer parents, teachers and friends of Hazlewood with a dual aim of building a wonderful community and to raise money for the benefit of the children of the school.
In April 2022 we became a registered charity which has opened up lots of extra exciting opportunities for us to apply for grant funding for things such as new equipment for the children and to allow us to claim gift aid on donations.
What do we do?
We organise events and fundraising opportunities throughout the year. In the past year we have planned and organised the following events and activities:
- Hazlewood Christmas Fair
- Wonderful Women pop-up shop
- Easter Disco (funded by the Wonderful Women pop-up shop)
- Easter bunny visit with eggs and chocolate lollies (again funded from proceeds of the pop-up shop)
- Marvellous Men pop-up shop
- Jubilee Celebration Event
And there are lots more events in planning…
Why do we do it?
Easy answer is that we LOVE IT!
We spend the funds raised on activities and equipment the school’s budget can’t stretch to so that the children can have access to an even greater range of enriching activities, and so that we can also support the local community.
It’s great fun being part of a fantastic team planning exciting events and activities that the children of our lovely school enjoy.
How can you get involved?
We are always VERY HAPPY to welcome new helpers and members. You can be involved as little or as much as you wish. Anyone can join our group so please get in touch with us by emailing us at friendsofhazlewood@outlook.com
