Year 4

The Key Stage 2 team are passionate about providing an exciting, purposeful learning experiences for all of our children. We recognise our responsibility to nurture and develop each child, across a broad and balanced curriculum. Our curriculum is topic based with enrichment opportunities offered throughout the year.

Homework guidelines

Reading – Your child will be given a school reading book. Please read with your child at least once a week and then record comments in their reading record.

Times Tables – Regular practice at home is essential. The Government guidance on times tables states that all children should be fluent in all times table (including up to 12×12) by the end of year 4.

Weekly homework will be set. This may consist of a consolidated exercise in Maths or English or it may focus on our class topic.

PE Kit

We ask that your child comes into school with their full PE kit on their given PE day. A full PE kit should consist of the following clearly labelled items:

• Trainers
• Red t-shirt
• Red school PE tracksuit top
• Navy school PE joggers

Swimming- Year 4 have weekly swimming
